ISES Solar World Congress 2011 to take place in Kassel, Germany (23.10.2008)
During the EuroSun 2008 it was decided that the ISES Solar World Congress 2011. Since it's start in 1955 the Solar World Congress will be held for the second time in Germany, the last time was in 1987 in Hamburg. The Kassel region is the ideal host of the SWC, which is home to several high-tech solar companies, leading solar research institutes, special solar energy study programmes as well as innovative energy supply systems. The SWC 2011 organisers are the ISES German Section (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Solarenergie DGS), the ISES Silver Company Member PSE of Freiburg and Prof. Klaus Vajen from Kassel University. ISES Regional Conferences 2008 (23.09.2008)
Don't miss the International Solar Energy Society Regional Conferences 2008. The first regional conference will be the EuroSun 2008, taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 7 - to October. The EuroSun will be the 1st International Conference on Solar Heating, Cooling and Buildings organised together with the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme. The ISES Arab Regional Conference will follow from 10 - 13 October in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The 3rd ISES Latin American Regional Conference will take place in Florianopolis, Brazil from 18 - 21 November. Finally the ISES Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Sydney, Australia from 25 - 28 November will wrap up the 2008 conferences. We encourage all ISES members to participate in the Regional Conference taking place in their region. ISES welcomes new Vice President for Industry (23.09.2008)
Mr. Huang Ming has been elected as the new ISES Vice President for Industry. The ISES Corporate Members elected Huang Ming in September as the successor to Mr. Isao Yukawa, who was the Vice President since 2006. Huang Ming of China is the founder of the Himin Solar Energy Group Co.,Ltd, one of the world's largest solar collector energy manufacturers and is a key promoter of the Chinese renewable energy law. ISES congratulates Huang Ming and looks forward to a fruitful cooperation with him. |

ISES organising International Solar Food Processing Conference 2009 (16.07.2008)
The International Solar Energy Society will be organising the first International Solar Food Processing Conference in Indore, India from 14 - 16 January 2009. The Conference is part of ISES coordinated project "Solar Food Processing & Conservation - Solar Food" and is being hosted by the Barli Vocational Institute for Rural Women and the Devi Ahilya University, Indore. The International Solar Energy Society concurs that feed-in tariffs are currently the most successful and effective renewable energy policy tool for the supporting the development of RE in any country.
